Did you that Leon County Solid Waste allows very small quantity generators (less than 220lbs of hazardous waste per month) to dispose of their hazardous waste at a lower cost than most commercial hazardous waste services? This can save businesses thousands of dollars in mobilization, chemists, drums, and disposal fees. Businesses will also receive documentation of proper disposal for their records. Businesses and other agencies must call (850) 606-1803 to make an appointment, Monday through Friday, to drop off their items at the Leon County Hazardous Waste Center (7550 Apalachee Pkwy.)
Why I joined the Chamber
“The Chamber is all about being given the opportunity to form relationships through networking. In Leads Groups, you spend quality time with other businesses, and often gain “Access” (another Chamber group focusing on younger members) to their connections as well. In Leadership Tallahassee, you gain a new family of business leaders, and are guaranteed exposure to something or some group you were not familiar with, while broadening your understanding of all things “Tallahassee”. With LT’s Building Better Boards, you get to spend an evening with a great, philanthropic/altruistic group who are learning to serve their nonprofits more effectively. With the Chamber Conference, you get to spend quality time off-site and in a more casual setting while learning more about our community. Is the Chamber helpful for your business? Absolutely – especially if you join, engage, and take advantage of the great programs they offer!”
