TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 24, 2012) – Tallahassee Community College is preparing for its first-ever healthcare job fair at the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education. The September 5 event will connect TCC’s healthcare students with local employers—giving students an opportunity to learn about and apply to potential openings and letting healthcare organizations recruit some of TCC’s most ambitious students.
TCC holds general job fairs every spring and fall semester, but this is the first time the College has hosted an event specifically focused on healthcare careers. In preparation for the event,
TCC is recruiting potential employers, and interested healthcare businesses and organizations are encouraged to register at www.tccfuturelink.com/events.
“We think both students and employers are really going to find this new event helpful,” said Catie Goodman, director of the TCC Career Center. “The local healthcare field is such an important part of the Tallahassee area that we wanted a job fair that could focus on the unique opportunities available. TCC loves to see our students stay local after graduation, strengthening the economy and community—which is an added benefit of an event like this.”
The TCC Healthcare Job Fair will be held Wednesday, September 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education, located at 1528 Surgeons Drive. For more information on the event, contact the Career Center at (850) 201-9970 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
