Traveling between Tallahassee and West Palm Beach would normally take about seven hours in a car, but soon you will be able to get there in less than three hours using a new service from the Tallahassee Regional Airport. Today, the Airport announced a new daily flight, which will take passengers from Tallahassee (TLH) to West Palm Beach (PBI) after stopping in Tampa (TPA). The new service provided by Silver Airways, which operates as a United Airlines co-share partner, will take flight on January 7.
“This new service will carry tremendous potential in boosting leisure and business travel between Tallahassee and West Palm Beach,” said Sunil Harman, director of Aviation. “Particularly for business travelers, the new service will allow them to save money, travel more comfortably and maximize productivity by getting work done in-flight.”
Once passengers arrive in Tampa (TPA), they will have to deplane and board another plane that continues on to West Palm Beach (PBI). This process is expected to take up to 30 minutes; however, the total trip time between Tallahassee and West Palm Beach will be less than three hours.
Tickets for the new service are now on sale. The schedule will be as follows:
