Rowland Publishing, the premier publisher of upscale magazines in Northwest Florida, brought home two prestigious awards from the Florida Magazine Association’s annual conference in Orlando Aug. 16-17. 850 — The Business Magazine of Northwest Florida and Tallahassee Magazine won two of the top writing awards in the 50,000 circulation and under category for their work over the past year.
850 and Tallahassee Magazine took second and third place, respectively, for Best Written Magazine for Consumers. It is the fourth year running that 850, first published in October 2008, has won honors in the Best Written category. Linda Kleindienst is the editor of 850 and Rosanne Dunkelberger is editor of Tallahassee Magazine.

The coveted annual Charlie Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement in Florida magazine publishing. Entries were judged by an independent panel of top industry professionals — from writers and editors to photographers and designers — from outside the state of Florida. Founded in 1954, the Florida Magazine Association is the largest state magazine association in the nation.
