A new, helpful preparedness tool is the free Red Cross Hurricane App which puts real-time, hurricane safety information at your fingertips.  The app features information on Red Cross shelters, as well as a toolkit with a digital flashlight, strobe light and alarm.  The Hurricane App can be downloaded free of charge in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for Android by searching for “American Red Cross.” Individuals can use the free Red Cross Hurricane App for the location and driving directions.

People can send donations to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Consider making a donation today by visiting www.tallyredcross.org , calling 850-878-6080 or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation’s blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
