North Florida Women’s Care is the premier Obstetrics & Gynecology practice in the Big Bend. This medical group was established in the mid 1980’s by Dr. Robert Ashmore and Dr. Arthur Clements and has grown to its current provider panel of 11 Board Certified OB/GYN Physicians and 1 Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
Their Mission is to provide the highest standards and quality of care to their patients and to be a center of excellence for all who enter their doors.
Their Vision is to stand out as a leader in the community by providing the highest standard of care in women’s health, continuously implement state of the art medical and information technology, provide valuable and relevant medical educational programs, foster a positive and rewarding environment for their employees, give back to the community and support local businesses.
They are honored to have received the Chamber’s Business of the Year award in 2013. Additionally, they are recipients of several other distinguished community awards for their excellent reputation and accomplishments over the past 30 years.
North Florida Women’s Care is committed to the efforts of the March of Dimes and Breast Cancer Awareness. They feel it is important and their obligation to support community programs that help improve the health and lives of the residents in the area.
They have been “online” for about 10 years and love the technology that has provided patients more convenience, understanding and participation in their care. For most of the surgeries, patients are giving a code to watch an educational program about their procedure online. It is a simple but helpful program explaining the procedure, talks about the risks and benefits as well as alternatives. In most cases, it answers the questions and concerns patients have before going to surgery. Additionally, the patient portal has evolved into one of the best and most effective communication applications in the area. They will be adding a brand new online nurse triage application called Keona Health in the 2nd Quarter of 2015 and are very excited about this project.
They have been dedicated partners with FSU College of Medicine. Medical Students train with the physicians and are provided education on topics related to women’s health, helping develop the future graduates in healthcare.
Bill Hambsh, CEO and Practice Administrator for North Florida Women’s Care has been with the practice since the mid 1990s and helped grow the practice to what it is today. He is a CPA and Certified Medical Practice Executive. He has many passions but personally connected to a program he developed in 2012 called Smoke Out Tallahassee helping individuals quit tobacco. He also serves on several boards including the March of Dimes and the Medical Group Management Association representing over 33,000 members nationwide.
At the end of the day, they hope to have helped and enrich the lives of all who enter their doors. They stand strong for quality and service.
