We received a phone call on March 2, alerting us of a potential telephone scam. The caller indicates they are calling on behalf of “your local Chamber of Commerce”. The caller is asking businesses to provide personal and business related information and will hang up when questioned about their identity.
If you or someone you know has received a similar phone call from the telephone number (850) 792-1029 or any other phone number calling as your local Chamber of Commerce, please report this to local law enforcement immediately.
Please note that on occasion our office will make calls to our members and it is our policy to identify the Tallahassee Chamber by name, callers name and purpose for the call. If you have any suspicions, please do not hesitate to call our office directly and speak to one of our staff members.
