TALLAHASSEE, FL. (September 12, 2012) – Moore Communications Group announces the promotion of Terrie Ard, APR, CPRC, to President. The move recognizes Ard’s achievements as Senior Vice President of the firm, a position she has served in since 2006.
In her role as President, Ard will continue leading daily operations of the firm, as an instrumental member of the leadership team and providing strategy and counsel for Moore Communications Group clients. The shift also allows for increased collaboration with Founder and CEO Karen B. Moore, APR, CPRC, who will continue to be the visionary leader for the company, elevating the firm’s national reputation, bringing in high-level clients and serving as a sought-after speaker. Additionally, Moore’s focus continues in serving on more than 10 boards at the national, state and local level, including the Economic Development Council of Tallahassee/Leon County and BioFlorida.
“Terrie has always stepped up to lead when we needed it,” says Moore. “Her leadership ensured MCG’s profitability and success through a recession and Terrie’s vision and strategic plan for the business led our recent rebranding. In many ways, she has already been fulfilling the role of President. This title recognizes her many contributions and a new chapter for MCG.”
Ard began at Moore Communications Group as a PR assistant in 1995, but quickly proved her abilities as a strategic professional with direct perception and quick insight, offering solutions for everything from small daily issues to major communications crises.
A graduate of Florida State University with a BA degree in communications, Ard is Accredited in Public Relations and a Certified Public Relations Counselor. She has been recently recognized as one of 850 Magazine’s “40 Under 40” and is a recipient of the Florida Public Relations Association Capital Chapter’s Stanley Tait Award, the organization’s highest honor, for leadership.
Ard’s promotion follows a year of big achievements for Moore Communications Group, as the agency celebrated 20 years in business with a new name, new look and new website. Moore Communications Group has also been recognized for the third year in a row as a Florida Trend “Best Place to Work,” a second year on the prestigious Inc. Magazine Inc. 5000 list and by Grow Florida as a “Company to Watch.”
