James Moore welcomes ten new hires

James Moore, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants (James Moore) is pleased to welcome Smoak Allen, Rebeca Denahan, Karsten Derendorf, Cristina DiTomaso, Marina Doss, Justin Douglas, Kris Hutchins, Jane Lastinger, Jennifer Spooner, and Leslie Stuppy to the firm.

 

Allen has been hired as a Staff Accountant. Prior to being hired by the firm, Allen served as an intern during the 2013 tax season. Allen received a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Saint Leo University. As a Staff Accountant, Allen will provide a range of services including auditing and tax work.

 

Denahan will serve as a Staff Consultant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining James Moore, Denahan served as a Controller for an environmental consulting firm in Gainesville, Florida. Denahan is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint Leo University. As a Staff Consultant, Denahan will provide bookkeeping and accounting services for the firm’s business and non-profit clients.

 

Derendorf will serve as a Staff Accountant. Prior to joining James Moore, Derendorf was responsible for accounts payable activities for a financial and wealth management company in Gainesville, Florida. Derendorf received a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Mercer University. As a Staff Accountant, Derendorf will provide a range of services including auditing and tax work.

 

DiTomaso has been hired as a Data Entry Assistant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining James Moore, DiTomaso worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk for a global temp agency that services accounting and bookkeeping professionals, in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Data Entry Assistant, DiTomaso will be responsible for entering, revising, and reviewing information to maintain databases through custom software.

 

Doss has been hired as a Staff Accountant. Prior to joining James Moore, Doss worked as an Accounts Payable Specialist for a global law firm. Doss received a Master of Business Administration in Auditing from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida. As a Staff Accountant, Doss will provide a range of services including auditing and tax work.

 

Douglas will serve as a Staff Accountant. Prior to joining James Moore, Douglas worked as an Intermodal/Contracts Auditor for an executive agency in Tallahassee, Florida. Douglas received a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Jones International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Flagler College. As a Staff Accountant, Douglas will provide a range of services including auditing and tax work.

 

Hutchins has been hired as a Staff Accountant. Prior to being hired by the firm, Hutchins served as an intern during the 2012 and 2013 tax seasons. Hutchins received a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida. As a Staff Accountant, Hutchins will provide a range of services including auditing and tax work.

 

Lastinger will serve as an Associate Accountant. Prior to joining the firm, Lastinger worked as an Assurance Associate for a global accounting firm in Tampa, Florida. Lastinger received a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida. As an Associate Accountant, Lastinger will perform work in both the tax preparation and audit departments. Lastinger will be responsible for assisting with the performance and supervision of compilations, reviews and audits, and research and preparation of income tax returns.

 

Spooner will serve as a Senior Consultant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining James Moore, Spooner worked as a Financial Administrator for a church in Tallahassee, Florida. Spooner received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University. As a Senior Consultant, Spooner will be responsible for advanced bookkeeping and accounting services for the firm’s business and non-profit clients.

 

Stuppy has been hired as a Data Entry Assistant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining James Moore, Stuppy worked as an Inventory Control Specialist for a regional retail company in Gainesville, Florida. As a Data Entry Assistant, Stuppy will be responsible for entering, revising, and reviewing information to maintain databases through custom software.
