James Moore & Co. Releases Salary Survey Resource for Non-Profits

Gainesville, FL (October 11, 2017) – James Moore & Co. (James Moore) has released a salary survey comparison tool for use by nonprofit organizations. This guide serves as a reference for these entities to help them make sure the salaries they pay are both in line with the current market and affordable given their budgets.
“Hiring good employees is tough enough, but when you have a limited budget it becomes even tougher,” said Mark Payne, a partner at James Moore and the leader of the firm’s Nonprofit Services Team. “Our hope is that this tool makes hiring and salary decisions easier for nonprofits so they can get the staffing they need to carry out their missions.”
The salary data was collected from applications submitted to the Community Human Service Partnership (CHSP) by 65 nonprofit organizations in the Tallahassee area. The comparison tool includes charts showing average salary by position/level, the percent of total expenses dedicated to compensation and benefits, and the percent of change in revenues from 2015 to 2016.
To account for the wide range of sizes and operations among nonprofits, this data is placed into one of five categories based on the revenue levels of the nonprofits surveyed:
•Under $250,000
•$250,000 – $500,000
•$500,000 – $1,000,000
•$1,000,000 – $5,000,000
•Over $5,000,000
The salary survey comparison tool is available for download free of charge on the firm’s website.
