The weather we’ve been having lately sure makes it feel like springtime is near. And the warmer weather that’s coming will bring a resurgence of fresh fruits and vegetables being grown in a multitude of community gardens in our area. In this month’s issue of Healthy Communities you will learn about two community gardens that are helping to build stronger communities: the Dunn Street Youth Farm and FMBC’s worksite garden to benefit local food banks.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Big Bend Hospice, so in this month’s issue we’ll also cover their “journey,” as well as other community topics you may find of interest.
And just a reminder: the Healthy Communities Tallahassee Business Resource Guide is working with America’s Second Harvest of the Big Bend to help promote local businesses and organizations while helping feed the hungry. Visit www.talbiz.com for more information on how your business or organization can be proactively promoted while helping to build stronger communities.
