Tallahassee, Fla. – The Legal Aid Foundation of Tallahassee and volunteer lawyers, many from the Tallahassee Bar Association, are providing free legal consultation to the community for civil law matters.
On Thursday, July 28, 2016, beginning at 4:30 p.m., LAF will host the July “Mobile Law for All” at Orange Avenue Apartments located at 2710 Country Club Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32301.
This event is an opportunity for the citizens of Leon County to have a free 30-minute consultation with a volunteer attorney regarding civil matters. Volunteer attorneys will be available for free legal advice in matters such as:
- Employment Issues
- Family Law
- Landlord/Tenant Issues
- Money Disputes Over Purchases
- Property Disputes
- Wills Issues
Interested clients should call the Legal Aid Foundation at 850-222-3292 ext. 2 for an appointment. Lawyers who wish to volunteer for thirty minutes to an hour should contact Promise Zone Staff Attorney Ivory Avant at 850-765-6658 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each year the lawyers in our community donate hundreds of thousands of dollars of free legal services to individuals who cannot afford an attorney through the Legal Aid Foundation of Tallahassee. This year we were fortunate to be awarded the Promise Zone Grant allowing us to go out into the community and provide legal services while highlighting the importance of legal representation required for true access to justice, regardless of income.
We would greatly appreciate any coverage you can provide for this free community event. Please feel free to contact Darby Kerrigan Scott, Executive Director, at 850-702-5010 or email@example.com, should you need additional information or have questions.
