The Capital Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) is calling for entries in its local Image Awards competition. The local Image Awards, the Chapter’s annual awards program, highlights outstanding work completed over the past year by communications professionals. The Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence.
“I encourage all local communications professionals to enter in this year’s local Image Awards competition,” said FPRA Capital Chapter President Erica Villanueva. “Image Awards winners demonstrate the best examples of innovation, planning and design in the communications profession and it is crucial that we recognize them for their achievements.”
The competition includes various divisions of categories for work communications professionals encounter on a daily basis ranging from public relations programs to audio/visual/online tools. Students are also encouraged to enter in the competition. To qualify for judging, an entry must incorporate sound public relations research and planning. Entries must meet the highest standard of production, execution and evaluation of results and budget. The deadline to submit entries is February 15, at 5 p.m. For a copy of the full Call for Entries, which includes in-depth information on all categories that are judged and the location where submissions are to be dropped off, please visit http://fpra-capital.org/wp-content/uploads/Call_for_Entries_2013.pdf.
The ceremony announcing the winners will be held April 18, at the FSU Alumni Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The theme for the Awards ceremony, which ties to the 75th “Diamond” Anniversary of the Florida Public Relations Association, is “Diamonds are a PR Pro’s Best Friend.”
