What’s your 2018 employment law story? Leveraging employment law experiences, developments, and success stories from 2017.
To prepare for 2018 employment law compliance, Mr. Callen is presenting “quick take away” legal points and suggested strategies based on his national, regional, and local employment law compliance review experiences, litigation experiences, and legal development observations in 2017. Mr. Callen will discuss his legal experiences and suggestions related to revising employment handbooks, and legal developments related to employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The presentation will also highlight success stories for legal strategies and human resources legal compliance challenges.

Presenter: Attorney Scott Callen – Employment and Business Law Compliance Consultation and Review, Litigation, and Mediation.
Mr. Callen has 20 years of experience working with human resource professionals and businesses in both employment law compliance review measures and employment litigation defense. In addition, as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, he is retained to mediate employment litigation disputes. Mr. Callen is also retained by businesses for training on employment law compliance matters.
Prior to be a named partner with his current law firm, he was invited into and held equity partner positions with an AM Law 100 international law firm and an AM Law 200 regional law firm. His legal peers selected Mr. Callen as a Florida Legal Elite (less than 2 percent of attorneys are selected), and Mr. Callen is a top ranked Tallahassee employment law attorney by AVVO ratings. Mr. Callen is also a nationally selected published author for the “Inside Legal Minds” book series from Thompson Reuters regarding negotiating and drafting employment agreements, and key components to defending employment litigation. His client representation matters are extensive and include local businesses to large international corporations, such as McDonald’s Corporation. Mr. Callen also serves as the Government Affairs leader for BBSHM in which he monitors employment law trends and laws.
