The business law firm Berger Singerman has expanded its business reorganization team in Tallahassee with the addition of Michael H. Moody, Esq. Moody previously served for 2 years as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Chief Judge Lewis M. Killian, Jr. in United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Florida. As a law clerk, Moody assisted in preparation for Court hearings and reviewed all proposed Court orders. Moody received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, and his law degree from Florida State University College of Law. He is a life-long resident of the Capital City.
Moody joins Brian Rich who leads the firm’s North Florida business reorganization and restructuring practice. Rich’s practice includes representation of debtors, creditors’ committees, bankruptcy Trustees and secured creditors. Brian has been the firm’s primary bankruptcy counsel in numerous complex Chapter 11 cases. He has overseen the wind-down process of several large cases with claims ranging from $100 million to over $1.5 billion. He services clients throughout the State of Florida and nationally.
In addition to being ranked by Chambers USA and as a “Legal Elite” among Florida’s bankruptcy and workout attorneys by Florida Trend magazine, Rich was recently elected to a seat on the Board of Directors for the Northern District of Florida Bankruptcy Bar Association (NDFLBBA). The Association was organized in 1994 to promote professionalism and the competent practice of bankruptcy law through the presentation of an annual seminar on bankruptcy law and practice in the Northern District of Florida.
Also on the team is Henry H. Fox , who has 40 years of experience in complex multi-state and multi-national lending transactions, the purchase of business entities and assets, and the formation and restructuring of business entities. Fox is a former Chair of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar.
